At Maclin Manufacturing, every iron door is carefully crafted and finished using a multi-step coating process designed for lasting beauty and protection. Our in-house powder coating system begins with a thorough multi-stage soak and degreasing process, followed by a high-temperature pressure wash to ensure every surface of the metal is completely clean and properly prepared.

We take our finishing process a step beyond standard industry practices. Each custom door receives 3 mils of zinc primer, which is baked onto the metal before the polyester powder coat is applied. We then add another layer of protection with a baked-on polyester clear coat, creating a durable finish engineered to withstand the elements and provide exceptional weather protection for years to come.

The finishing touches matter, too. Our custom in-house wood stains bring the warmth, depth, and beauty of natural wood to our steel doors, giving homeowners a distinctive look without sacrificing the strength and durability of steel.
